NAIOP was excited to hold another panel discussion for our members and guests that can help them in there day to day business. Over 100 people attended this discussion on Thursday, November 14th at the Deerwood Country where lunch was served. From site selection to preparing RFPs, to negotiating terms with landlords, to constructing improvements and then furnishing the space, the tenant improvement process involves many aspects of planning, negotiation, and coordination. We brought together 5 local panelists that are involved at various stages in the TI process. They will navigated us through understanding the overall process and timing considerations, identifying potential pitfalls, implementing best practices and managing expectations. Karen Mathis moderated the panelist and presented some great questions such as: What factors should a tenant consider when selecting a new location? What issues are most overlooked at the RFP/LOI stage? What happens when a buildout project runs over-budget or under-budget? Our panelist were generous with their knowledge and were able to provide great insight and understanding to many of our audiences questions.
