NAIOP helps clean up with St. Johns RiverKeeper

On Saturday, August 26th, NAIOP Northeast Florida participated with St. Johns RiverKeeper in the clean up along Margaret Street and throughout Riverside Park. Over 15 volunteers from NAIOP (including friends and family) spent nearly 2 hours meticulously picking up every scrap of trash and debris along the beautiful downtown area of Riverside. After we compiled over 200 gallons of refuse, volunteers joined St. Johns RiverKeeper at their annual River Ruckus event at the Riverside Arts Market (RAM). Volunteers at the River Ruckus participated in selling raffle tickets, assisting paddle boarders, helping with children’s activities, and handing out flyers to teach our local residents about the importance of St. Johns RiverKeeper and keeping our River City beautiful. It was a fulfilling day for all involved and everyone left with a sense of pride and a job well done. Additionally, NAIOP Northeast Florida donated $3,000 towards helping St. Johns RiverKeeper with its mission.
