Jacksonville must tap international commerce to gain jobs, The Economist editor says at UNF

Places with high-achieving schools and global-spanning businesses will have the strongest economic growth as the nation climbs out of recession, an editor of The Economist magazine said Friday at the University of North Florida.

At a half-day conference called “Jacksonville: Choosing a Future,” keynote speaker Greg Ip said the rapid growth of countries such as China, India and Brazil means international commerce will be where the action is.
