Downtown Tour & Tasting – Another huge hit!
Downtown was alive with NAIOP’s 3rd Tour & Tasting on Thursday, October 23rd. We had a record number of attendees and some unbelievable buildings that we toured. We started out at The Laura Street Trio at 4:00 where we enjoyed a tasty Valdo Prosecco. Tony Suttles from Danis gave us a great history lesson and filled us in on what we have to look forward to! Next we visited The Greenleaf Tower, where a buttery Mazzoni Pinot Grigo was served and we gave away an I-pad to lucky winner Julie Bohn. The third stop was at The Barnett Center for Innovation and we got to indulge in delightful Souverain Chardonnay and drew another lucky winner Katherine Hardwick who got a $500 gift certificate to Nordstroms! We headed back out on the streets to see the beautiful offices of Workscapes, where we sipped on a delicious Ballard Lane Pinot Noir and presented the final winner, Cathy Chambers with a 12 month wine club certificate! The fifth location was at The Jessie Ball duPont Center which brought memories back to many who had known it as the library of their youth – Danis’s Tony Suttles provided us with the details of how they were restoring the tiles and what charity offices would be moving to this location in the spring. Our sommeliar, Kris Chislett gave us the final selection of wine, which was a truely amazing Humble Pie Cabernet Sauvignon! To wrap the night up we all strolled over to Underbelly where we enjoyed some great food from the Burritto Gallery and were entertained by the awesome band, Southern Train. This event was a great night for all that attended and really showed some fabulous downtown buildings!
