NAIOP of Northeast Florida’s Developing Leaders, the young professionals group of the region’s commercial real estate trade association, recently hosted a volunteer construction day with HabiJax. The event was part of the group’s annual Volunteer Day, during which members give back to the local community. “The Developing Leaders are a vital component of NAIOP and we are proud of their commitment to the community,” said Gordon Steadman, 2012 president of NAIOP of Northeast Florida. “The success of this annual event proves their dedication to contributing to the greater good of Jacksonville.”
Thirteen members of the Developing Leaders attended the build, which took place at a construction site in northwest Jacksonville at 2165 Brooklyn Road. Following the project, members hosted a social at Bold City Brewery, with a portion of every beer sold going to HabiJax on behalf of NAIOP.
“The Developing Leaders always strive to give back to the local community in any way we can,” said Justin Markley, charity chair of the Developing Leaders. “Our annual Volunteer Day is a great way to support a charitable organization and also have fun in the process.”
