10,000 Meals packed for Hunger Fight

On Friday, June 2nd over 25 NAIOP volunteers spent several hours packing 10,000 meals for Hunger Fight! NAIOP member Dan Santinga, with Lingerfelt CommonWealth was very generous in donating the warehouse for us to assemble these meals.  All the volunteers arrived early to enjoy a great lunch from Tidbits and some time to socialize.  Staff and board members from Hunger Fight provided an overview of their mission and gave us a tutorial on how to pack the meals of rice, red beans, vegetables and spices  We were amazed at how fast we gelled as a team and rang the cow bell every time we completed a case.  Thanks to all that donated their time and energy for this wonderful cause.  Hunger Fight mission is to provide nutritious meals  for children and families deemed food insecure and hungry in our local communities with an emphasis on school backpack programs.
